[HEADY / HEDDY / HEDDEN]

It is unclear if there could be a connection between the Hedden families of Shelby & Spencer and the Heady family but the names are, at times do toggle back and forth in records. As a general thing those that use the Heady spelling come from Thomas Heady who begins in NJ and passes through SW PA before coming to Nelson Co. The Hedden spelling seems to associate more with Abraham Hedden who is in NW North Carolina prior to Kentucky. In Kentucky they interact with the same people causing me to think there is at least a possibility that they go back to the same root, took different paths to Kentucky, but MAY have had some connection to each other.
