Bethel Church's window memorials

BETHEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Bethel Church is one of the oldest churches in Bullitt County. It boasts one of the oldest community cemeteries in the area. Bethel started out in a log building that was located in front of the cemetery. The "new" church was built in the 1920s. The money for the stained glass windows was raised by donations from the congregation as a memorial to some of the church members from very early in the twentieth century. Most of those names have descendants who are active members of the church today.

Surnames: CUNNINGHAM, GENTRY, HALL, MADDOX, MOORE, MOTHERSHEAD, PEACOCK, SCROGRAHM, SCOTT
