Samuel F. and Nancy Hall Brown

Samuel was born in 1816 and lived in Kentucky before moving to Indiana where he married Nancy Hall. They then moved to Kansas. Samuel became a preacher, but I don't know exactly when. He died in Doniphan Co., KS. and was buried in the Iola Cemetary. In a local newspaper, the Kansas Chief, May 22, 1873 is written: "Rev. M.(should be F.) Brown, a United Brethren preacher and old settler residing on Wolf River, known as "Daddy" Brown, died last week." My lookup there says there is no "M Brown" in any of the cemetaries in the area that died anywhere near that date, so we have concluded that this is my Samuel F. Brown who died May 16, 1873.
