Sarah - is the half sister of Andrew Ferguson (born 1825) that married Mary Ann Quick (born 1825), daughter of Ephraim Quick. Sarah would also be the half sister of Basil Ferguson (born 1828) that married Perlina Quick, the sister of David Nelson Quick. HAMILTON, (born abt 1838): Richard F. HAMILTON was with parents in 1840 Jefferson Co. KY. He was orphaned at a young age and resided with grandparents in 1850 Bullitt Co. After marriage to Cate Cheshire FARRIS in 1866, he wrote a letter dated 1871 to his sister Mary Ann. He stated that another son was born, and that Cate was doing fine. Cate was believed to have died in the mid 1870's, as Richard is declared the guardian of Cate's dauther Viola FARRIS. Viola is daughter of Cate's first marriage to Walter FARRIS. In 1877, gurdianship was transferred from Richard Hamilton to Nathan Farris. Unable to find Cate's date of death and burial place. Richard wrote another letter to sister Mary Ann (born 1834) in January of 1878, from Fisherville, Jefferson Co. Kentucky. He wrote that he was better in health and taking medicine from a doctor in Louisville. He was still working at Fisherville making barrels for the mill. He was 20 miles from his children that were well, the last time he heard from them, and that he was not satisified to be so far away from them. He was unable to find work near them and get as good of pay as in Fisherville. There was no mention of wife Cate. Unknown what happened to Richard after 1878. Unable to find date of death and burial place. Children were scattered among family, with son Richard (born 1866) in 1880 Woods, dist 96, Jefferson Co.
